Day 60: Broken pipe- black spekles on

Finally one jewellery work is complete after 60 days! The series started on the 19th of March and continues to be produced until the end of August before the exhibition and I am sure I will go on this journey afterwards as well. I have been developing good conceptual paths with new work such as connection, time, forgotten, dusty, Nirvana, broken, and bending. This will create a path for my future work to investigate each concept one by one  to establish a better statement for my art. 

The surface color and texture of the pipes should look old, worn out and dusty just like the pipes I can see in the building. After patina I used black enamel spray paint on top and finally the surface has been finished. What an amazing colour it has made in the end!

마침내 60일이 지난 후 하나의 작품이 드디어 완성되었다. 새 시리즈는 3월 19일부터 시작되어 전시회 직전인 8월 말까지 만들어질 예정이지만 그 이후에도 계속되어질 것임을 확신한다. 새로운 작업으로 연결, 시간, 잊혀짐, 먼지낀, 니르바나, 깨어진, 굽어진 등등의 새로운 개념들의 길을 잘 개발시켜 왔다. 이것은 내 예술작업에 더 나은 작가 진술을 정립하기 위해 하나하나를 탐구해가기 위한 물꼬를 터준 것이다. 

파이프 표면의 색이나 질감은 마치 건물의 파이프들에서 볼 수 있는 것처럼 오래되고, 닳았으며 먼지가 가득 껴있게 보여야 한다. 파티나를 사용한 후 그 위에 에나멜 페인트 스프레이를 가볍게 뿌려주었으며 마침내 그 표면이 완성이 되었다. 이 얼마나 아름다운 색의 결과물인가!
