Day 81: Tree

This is the pendant I made for donation to the Tall Trees Festival 2021. One of the mums that I have knows from my daughter’s mothers group asked if I could donate a piece for this fundraising event a couple of months ago. This fundraising event is to support the Warburton Environment fight against VicForests, the state-owned logging company, which is getting away with breaking its own rules. The rally in the streets in these Covid times will not happen so if any of you think you can help please join them in online solidarity, to protect the places we all love. 

이 목걸이는 Tall Trees Festival 2021 행사에 기부하기 위해서 만들어졌다. 내 딸의 어머니그룹 중 오래 알고 지낸 한 엄마가 몇달 전 이 모금행사를 위해서 작품 하나를 기증해 주지 않겠냐고 물었다. 이 모금행사는 워버튼 환경단체가 국영벌목회사인 빅포레스트를 상대로 싸우기를 돕는 행사인데 빅포레스트는 그들이 약속한 규율을 자꾸 어기는 것을 손쉽게 빠져나가고 있다. 거리에서의 시위는 코비드 시대에 취소되었지만 이글을 보는 어떤 분이라도 돕고자 하면 우리가 사랑하는 곳들을 보호하기 위한 아 온라인 결속행사에 참가해주기 바란다.
