Day 33 : Work 33. Green is growing.

Today I have decided to make 2 earrings for either pink or red powder coat and one new pendant for the upcoming show I am involved at The Old Auction House. They are all the works using hexagon perforation. Once I picked up the sheet of hexagon perforation I could know what I can make in a short period of time. I could visualise what the design would look like in the end.

Over the years of repeating to make those earrings and pendants I know what could be the best result with these hexagon pattern. However, I want more. Repetition is not bad especially when you make something as it can give you an opportunity to perfect your skill and technique. Inevitably that makes you have an irrepressible urge to be creative and the design results are abundant. Where can I go from here? Will today’s ordinary repetition with that urge take me somewhere exciting?

The “Green is growing” is inspired by my beautiful and lush indoor garden on top of my cabinet at the studio.
